Getting your hair winter weather-ready
Keeping your hair looking good over the colder months takes time and extra effort but it’s well worth it. In the run up to your special day, make sure you’re treating your locks to a deep conditioning treatment once a week. By the time you walk down the aisle your tresses will be looking nourished and glossy.

Up or down?
Hair can be more temperamental during the chilly months so work with its natural style instead of forcing it into a style that could end up looking tired and unloved. If you fancy curls, there’s the chance that windy, damp weather combined with central heating will cause the curls to drop. Likewise, if your hair is thick and wavy, a curly style could leave it frizzy.

The updo
Tying your hair up is an easy way to make sure its shape and style stays the same throughout the day. It’s a great way to tame unruly hair and perfect for keeping flyaway hair in one place. It’s also guaranteed to look amazing in your wedding photos.

The dress
For winter wedding hair, you need to give more thought to what you’re wearing and how you work your hair around your dress. Winter brides will often wear a fur stole or shrug, so a low bun could mean you’re constantly brushing your hair against the fabric. Instead, opt for a stylish, higher updo. think about the buttons on your dress too. If they come up to the back of your neck, then make sure your hair isn’t likely to get tangled around them.

Accessories
Winter hair is all about glitz and glamour so think about adding some sparkle to your do. Fascinators, clips, tiaras and headbands can all look amazing and will give your overall look that wow factor.

On the day
Make sure you use some great styling products to help your do stay in place. Use a good serum to give it gloss, a volumising spray if your hair is fine, a defrizz treatment if it needs taming and a good quality hairspray should all do the trick and leave you looking picture perfect on your special day.
