Tessa Thompson becomes the latest woman of colour to become an ambassador for a major beauty company
Tessa Thompson is Armani Beauty’s new Beauty Face, becoming one a growing list of women of colour such as Rihanna for Dior, Willow Smith, Whitney Peak and Yara Shahidi for Chanel, Zendaya for Valentino and Bulgari, Zoë Kravitz for Yves Saint Laurent, or Naomi Osaka for Louis Vuitton appointed as brand ambassadors for major beauty and fashion houses. She joins joins Armani Beauty alongside actresses Cate Blanchett, Zhong Chuxi, Adria Arjona, Alice Pagani, and Greta Ferro.
Thompson will feature in both the campaigns (shot by Swedish photographer Mikael Jansson) for the award-winning Luminous Silk Foundation (£44.50) which spans a range of 40 colours and the new Lip Power (£33), a longwear satin lipstick formulated with oils and high-intensity pigments for comfortable all-day wear.

The LA native’s first breakout film role was Dear White People in 2014, followed by Ava DuVernay’s 2014 film Selma. She is now known internationally thanks to her role as Valkyrie in Marvel films Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, followed by Avengers: Endgame in 2019, and will reprise the role in the forthcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, set for release in 2022.
