Solange Knowles has gone and broke the internet – again!
Not only did she just release her highly anticipated fourth album, ‘A seat at the Table’ (with accompanying digital book) – which has now number 1 in the US and at number 9 in the UK iTunes charts – in the wee hours of this morning, she dropped two brand new music videos!
Both are visually stunning and the songs aren’t bad either!
The videos are for the songs Cranes in the Sky and our absolute favorite track from the album, Don’t Touch My Hair
In true Solange style, both videos are original, artistic and bohemian – but more importantly, they’re a real celebration of black beauty and hair (so we obvs love them).
Here’s some of our fave images from both videos:
Don’t Touch My Hair video
In ‘Don’t Touch My Hair’ Solange pays homage to some of the most iconic black hair styles, including Missy Elliot style finger waves and Patrice Rushen inspired beaded braids.
The songs interlude Tina Taught Me is Solange’s mum talking about having pride in black beauty and it.is.a-mazing!

Cranes in the sky
Full of #blackgirlmagic, #squadgoals and #hairgoals – this video is perfection from start to finish!
