Farewell to hair industry icon Ann Rattray, co-owner of Hype Coiffure. Remembering her kindness and mentorship to hair stylists. Rest in peace, Ann.
Ann Rattray, who was the co-owner of award- winning Hype Coiffure hair salons in South London, for more than 25 years sadly passed on 30th March 2023.
Ann fought bravely against brain cancer, but sadly she was defeated by the illness.
Throughout her life, Ann was such an exceptionally caring and kind person, who connected easily with people no matter what their age, class or race.
She always offered good advice and guidance when asked by others, particularly to Hype Coiffure’s trainee and professional hair stylists, who under her watchful eye, learned how to hone their hairdressing skills to an advanced level.
Family was everything to Ann and she leaves behind many family members and friends who are completely heartbroken by her departure from this world. Never to be forgotten, may Ann rest in eternal peace 💜🙏🏾🕊️

Ann blessed so many people with her love and kindness, including me, you were an earth Angel and I was so honoured to have known you.
