Amani is a stunning collection by the Fellowship F.A.M.E. Team Afro, art directed by Errol Douglas MBE. The styles demonstrate the gorgeous structures and silhouettes that can be created with textured hair.
Royal Lines
Hair is styled back into an anti-head shape. The ends of the hair are spiked up to resemble the points of a crown
Braid Bar
The ends of this extra-long braided style are left loose, adding movement and texture. The style is further enhanced with coloured braids
“‘Amani’ refers to peace in Swahili and ‘wishes’ in Arabic, so you can’t deny its positive energy. This gender-neutral name is auspicious in every sense of the word. Cultural authentic Afro hair at its best, combining great shapes. This shoot symbolises strength in Black women. We worked with a combination of the models’ natural hair, incorporating wefts and other materials to bring the collection together.”
