Clinical therapist Dr Ejikeme of Adonia Medical Clinic is offering virtual skin consultations, prescription skincare drop offs and live streamed facials
Because of lockdown, people have not been able to attend their usual beauty and medical appointments. This can cause some distress for those that suffer with skin conditions or need regular products or medication. To overcome this, Dr Ifeoma Ejikeme – NHS medical consultant and medical director at Adonia Medical Clinic, has been providing virtual consultations, prescription deliveries and private facials streamed live.
Virtual consultations, prescriptions and follow ups
Based in Maida Vale, Adonia Medical Clinic offers premium medical and aesthetics treatments in a luxury, calming environment. Dr Ejikeme has been offering UK clients one hour consultations online.
Dr Ejikeme or a member of her team provide patients with a thorough assessment to diagnose skin issues and prescribe any products needed. Patients then receive their prescriptions via courier, which has allowed them to start or continue any treatments without needing to leave their home. Their progress is then checked with virtual follow-up appointments.
Virtual facials
Adonia also offers private virtual facials, led live by therapists for clients to follow at home. Bookings are made online via the website, after which a bespoke package filled with everything needed to carry out the facial at home, is sent to them via the clinic. The facials are carried out using Skype, Zoom or Whatsapp video.
The virtual services have been a success and Dr Ejikeme, says, ‘We have had an amazing response from our clients so far and are exploring ways in which we can expand our virtual services further to keep up with the phenomenal demand.’
